About Me:
Hello! My name is DeathKoilz, an 85 Gnome Warlock on the Alterac Mountains realm. I am currently spec'd Destruction/Affliction but am fully capable of playing Demonology as well. I am 29 years old and have been playing since Vanilla. What are you looking for in a guild?
I'm looking for a guild that raids on an East Coast friendly schedule. Ideally I would like to be done with raids for an evening by midnight eastern at the latest, but would prefer it being earlier than that. I'm looking for a guild in which preparation, dedication, and skill are the rule instead of the exception. I would like an 18+ atmosphere, perhaps even older (current median age in my guild is about 26). Drama free, epeen free, etc. Reasons for leaving previous/current guild?
I spent 2 years and 5 months in a guild on Echo Isles, and left at the end of WotLK to search for a more raid oriented realm with a slightly more hardcore guild. When I left, a few friends of mine (who were real life friends with eachother) told me that they planned to do the same thing I did, and they wanted to start a 10M guild for Cataclysm. Nine total people from various guilds/realms transfered with us to Alterac Mountains, and a guild called RooR was started. Things went well for the last few months of WotLK. Come Cataclysm we lost a lot of the highly skilled players who had transfered due to various reasons: real life, work, family, active duty, etc. Things got worse as raids started having to be canceled, but I decided I'd still it out because I'm loyal. At this point, we aren't raiding often - it feels like cancelations are the norm, so I'm looking for a new home. What kind of experience do you have with the game?
I've been playing since a few months before TBC release. Cleared everything in TBC except for Sunwell, Archimonde, and Kael. The guild I was in got a very late start in TBC, so if we got stuck for a few weeks on a boss, we'd move on to make sure we cleared as much content as possible. In WotLK I've cleared: All of T7 on 10 and 25 man, including Sarth+1/2/3 Undying during patch 3.0.8 Ulduar10 13/14 with 8/9 hard modes. Ulduar25 13/14 with 2/9 hard modes. Glory to the Ulduar Raider 10M ToC10/25 5/5 ToGC10 5/5 - Insanity ToGC25 4/5 ICC10 12/12 H.ICC10 - 12/12 - Bane of the Fallen King ICC25 12/12 H.ICC25 11/12 Glory to the ICC 10 raider World 742 Glory to the ICC 25 raider Glory of the Cata Hero (Volcanic Drake) completed in January. Currently I am 11/12 Normal mode Cataclysm content. Describe your role in a group.
As a damage dealer, in a nutshell, my job is to do damage. There's more to it than just going "pew pew pew" though. You need to damage the right targets, in the right order, while not taking damage yourself. My role is to produce as much damage as possible to the correct targets while taking as little damage as possible, and buffing the rest of the group with my class's utility. What would you bring to our guild? Why should we pick you?
I am a raider who will always show up on time, prepared, with the knowledge needed to down the encounters. I do my homework, read strats, watch videos, etc. I also copy my character to the PTR when there are warlock changes to get a feel for those changes before they go live so that I will be prepared as soon as the patch hits. I have extensive experience as a Raid Leader - I raid led the guild I was on Echo Isles for two years starting in Naxx/Sarth and going right up to 11/12 Heroic ICC25 with 25M Drakes. I was also the person who writes up the strats on the boss fights for the guildies to read up on and watch videos of before the raid. Combine my experience with leading and research with my drive and determine to be a pro Warlock, and you end up with a great overall raider. |
