About the Guild:
Hello!
Controlled Chaos is defined as a progression guild. While we have a moderate raid schedule because we understand that real life comes before the game, we take our time seriously, and hit current progression hard and with focus to maximize our time. Our age ranges from 20-35, with most raiders represented in the upper range of that bracket. Guild atmosphere is pleasant and very laid back; we often joke around in guild chat, and have fun on Ventrilo. We have clear 25 man Naxx and Sarth, and looking to bolster our ranks for Ulduar and to farm older content. We are currently looking for another Tank, Healer, and ranged DPS (non-hunter). We are willing to take groups of people. We are looking for people that have good situational awareness and good attendence. They must have the willingness to learn new fights even if it means wiping all night. Raid Schedule Wed, 7:30pm - 10:30pm CST Fri, 7:30pm - 11:30pm CST Mon, 7:30pm - 10:30pm CST Off nights usually involve running heroics, PvP, old world instances, or 10 man raids. We have a subset of raiders progressing through Glory of the Hero and Glory of the Raider achievement lines (including Sarth + X progression), so finding things to do on non-raid nights is pretty easy. Raid Progression 10 man content: OS: Sarth + 1 Naxx: 15/15 Malygos: 1/1 Uld: 7/14 We recently resumed 25 man content in May. OS: Sarth + 1 completed Naxx: 15/15 completed Malygos: 0/1 completed Uld: 2/14 Loot Distribution 10 man loot is distributed by /roll and handled by the loot master. 25 man loot is handled very simply by a fixed sum DKP system. All individuals (regardless of rank) will earn DKP for boss kills and boss attempts. When an item is dropped, any eligible party can whisper the loot master to indicate their interest. The loot master will award the item to whomever has the highest amount of DKP; ties would be broken by highest lifetime DKP. Raider status individuals will have priority over Member status individuals in the raid. Initiates cannot bid to compete against other individuals with their DKP, however they can be awarded loot should no one else bid on the item. Officers evaluate characters and loot distribution to ensure no one is 'hoarding' DKP for a coveted item and passing on upgrades as they present themselves. Should the situation arise, officers can override any winning bid based on what is best for the guild. Loot is a by product of raiding; it is needed to progress, however we believe the point of raiding is to raid, not collect loot.
