About the Guild:
Soul of the Red Dragon is always looking for top notch players. Check the class list below for current needs - if your class appears full but you feel you would be a good addition to the team, please submit an application anyway.
Recruitment Information Current Openings Druid - OPEN - Feral Hunter - OPEN Mage - OPEN Paladin - OPEN - Holy or Prot Priest - OPEN - Shadow Rogue - OPEN Shaman - OPEN - Resto Warlock - CLOSED Warrior - OPEN - DPS Deathknight - CLOSED We expect all members to meet our minimum requirements. Our requirements are strict to match the difficulty of the content that we explore. If we recruited people who did not meet all our requirements we would not be where we are today. Basic Requirements: * We need our members to have 99% uptime. That means you're not disconnecting during raids or having your computer dying. We need 25 people in a raid giving 100%, which means you need to be online. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SOLID CONNECTION AND A GOOD COMPUTER DO NOT BOTHER APPLYING. * You must have solid gear in your slots. You must have your gear fully gemmed and enchanted. Your gear tells us a lot about your knowledge of your class, your knowledge of general theorycraft, and your willingness to put effort into your character. * You must be able to give us a lifetime average of 85-90% attendance. We track this statistic, and we run a tight roster and can't afford to recruit unreliable people. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN'T COMMIT TO OUR SCHEDULE. We raid Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays - first pull at 6:00 pm ST, and invites at 5:30 pm ST. Desired Traits of a Soul of the Red Dragon Raider: * You've read strategies, obtained consumables, and are ready to go every night for raids. You will communicate with the other healers or DPS classes to coordinate fight-specific strategies. You must have the desire to constantly improve your play. You must be able to take constructive criticism so that you can improve your play. We want people who are good, but who are always striving to be better. * You're here pretty much every night. If you have some weird life circumstances that may be interrupting your play time or will in the near future DON'T APPLY. This fits hand in hand with dedication. We need to be able to rely on you to be there on the tough nights when we're trying to beat new content. We need to know you're not going to flake out and disappear for a week, or that you're going to leave an hour early from raids on a regular basis. * You need to be able to adapt to changing situations and go above and beyond the basic assignment asked of you. You need to be able to think for yourself so that you can do your assigned job as well as help others. Twitch and fast reaction times are needed for you to do the job that will be required of you. * Soul of the Red Dragon has a strong guild personality and you will need to fit in with us. This means that you can take a joke, have a good sense of humor, and can take criticism. Overly sensitive people will not fit in with us. You need to be able to take criticism when you make a mistake and you need to be able to let the criticism roll off without it stressing you out. Our raids will be high energy environments and carry tension at times. ''How Do I Apply?'' The first step is to read about us - go over this page and the ''Information'' page thoroughly and understand their contents and vibe. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. Do not waste our time by skipping over the vital information on this page. Do not waste our time by applying if you cannot commit to the basic requirements. The second step is to submit an application. Fill out the application as completely as possible. Submitting an application full of one-line answers is a good way to get passed over. By recruiting you we are making a commitment to you. We want to know as much as we possibly can about you. We will not commit to someone who we don't know enough about. If we like your application we will contact you. Most applications to our team are denied - do not expect a response. If you're not contacted within 3-5 days you've probably been denied. If we do like your application and are considering recruiting you, we'll request to schedule an interview on Ventrilo. During the interview we will usually go over some things from your application as well as reviewing the commitment that we expect from you. Raid Schedule and Attendance Monday 6:00 pm ST - 9:30 pm ST Tuesday 6:00 pm ST - 9:30 pm ST Thursday 6:00 pm ST - 9:30 pm ST Saturday 6:00 pm ST - late Raid invites are started 30 minutes prior to raid start time. It is expected that anyone who can be on at invites start will be on. We expect all of our members to have 85-90% minimum attendance. This means that on average, members will miss about one raid every two-and-one-half weeks. This is due to our very tight roster and our desire to have very reliable players who we can expect to be there almost every night. |
