Alien Jackhammer - Horde Guild on Arthas - Getting the balance right.

Alien Jackhammer is a laid back, but content driven guild. We have been around for over 2-years and continues to recruit like-minded individuals.

We are not a guild for everyone, but for those who enjoy our play style and attitude; are lifers! We try to keep guild and vent chat PG, and those throwing F-BOMBS are usually frowned upon. We do not put up with sexual harassment in anyway, and try to keep vent and guild chat as civilized as possible.

With that said... We currently run two 10-man groups a week. We attempt new content Tuesday - Thursday 8:30-11:30 EST. Friday and Saturday nights; we usually run some older stuff (Naxx/EoE/VoA) to gear alts or those who need it.

You'll also find groups of us will spend off-nights PVP'ing the night away... which is the real core of the group.

Ventrillo is not mandatory, but most members really enjoy the social aspects of it and it's required for new content raiding. AJ focuses more on relationship than content, and really believes that a game should be FUN. RL gives us enough stressors to deal with, so why should you deal with it in a game?

I believe this is our largest strength. Guild drama is always nipped in the bud, and those causing the drama usually move on quickly.

As important as content and loot are... We are pretty fair when it comes to loot rules. On 10-man/25-man new content; this is handled by a loot counsel. The officers decide who needs the gear most, and rewards those who have put the time in. Naxx-level gear is simply a /roll. Many people hate a 'loot counsel', but how many times have you seen a great piece of gear go to someone who happened to be on and leaves the guild in a week? Yes... I know all about DKP. While a great system, there are still many flaws... Especially since we focus primarily on 10-man content (Ulduar and ToC). 10-man groups are more intimate; which allows us to distribute loot fairly.
