[H - PvE] 10 man Guild (Wanting to Grow to 25)

Korkron is a Horde 10 man raiding guild located on the (EST) Thrall server.

We are currently in the process of building a core 10 man raiding group, with initial recruitment closing once we have approximately 20 committed players. We do plan to grow into 25 man raids eventually, but it is our philosophy that growing incrementally, and focusing on building a skilled and coordinated raid force will net greater long term results then rapid growth. Therefore, we have chosen to focus on 10 man raiding in the short term with 25 man progression a long term goal.

The core of Korkron has some very experienced raiders, all of whom raided through classic and BC, and many of whom raided in Everquest prior to the release of World of Warcraft. The leadership has played and raided together in various games for over 5 years. For a variety of reasons, (real life commitments, trying out other games etc.) many of us were on hiatus for a good deal of this expansion until recently when we were all able to return to WoW full time. That was the precipitating force for building this guild to progress through WotLK and get ready for Cataclysm.

The Korkron leadership have all raided at a hardcore level in various games but this will not be a hardcore guild per se. Progression is very important to us, but so is a drama-free environment, and playing with a group of friends who enjoy playing with each other. Another reason we are planning to grow incrementally is to foster such a gaming community.

Our loot distribution will be bilateral. For 10 man raids we will utilize a hybrid rolling/loot council system which will aim to ensure that the guild as a whole gears up efficiently, effectively, and fairly. Once we progress to 25 man content we will use a zero-sum fixed price dkp system, with upgrade and downgrade variables. Our pricing algorithm is based on the blizzard itemization formula which results in streamlined price scaling from tier to tier.

We are currently recruiting the following to round out our roster, however it is important to note that exceptional applicants will always be considered regardless of class.

Druid – Balance, preferably with a Feral dual spec
Priest – Holy or Disc with a Shadow dual spec
Rogue
Warlock
Hunter

Tue/Wed/Thu 7:30-11:30 EST


Expectations:

We expect applicants to be willing to learn, committed to progression, and maintain a positive attitude. A good sense of humor is also a huge plus as it is little to no fun to raid with those suffering a personality deficit. All members will be expected to research encounters beforehand, show up for raids on time and prepared, and to pay attention during encounters. Members will likewise be expected to research their class and maximize their ability to perform all potential raid roles. In conjunction with this, it is essential that members be good team players, with the ability to coordinate within a given raid plan.
